SCHEDULE: Ridgetop Commons's curbside trash/recycling is removed as follows:
Trash: Mondays and Thursdays
Recycling: Thursdays only
Bulk Items: Thursdays only, call American Disposal Services at least 24 hours in advance
All pickups generally occur between 6:00 a.m. and noon.
HOLIDAYS: Service is provided on all holidays EXCEPT:
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
New Years Day
On these holidays, service is skipped and the next pickup is on the next regularly scheduled pick-up day. Service is also skipped on days when the landfill is closed or on snow or other emergency days. Under such an emergency, refuse will be collected on the next regularly scheduled service day, road conditions permitting.
GUIDELINES: Homes will be supplied with one recycling bin and one trash bin. Acceptable trash items include household waste only. No construction or remodeling waste. Acceptable recycling items include newspapers with slick inserts (bundled, in paper bags, or in a separate recycling container), magazines, catalogs, junk mail and phone books; cardboard (flattened, less than 36"x36"), cereal and cracker boxes (bundled and tied); glass food and beverage containers; aluminum and steel cans; #1 - #7 plastic bottles and jugs. Plastic containers used for insecticides, herbicides, petroleum products, or automotive fluids are not acceptable. No plastic bags.
Grass clippings and leaves should should be bagged in clear plastic bags, brown paper bags, or personal can clearly marked "Yard Debris." Brush and limbs should be bundled and tied. Limbs should not exceed four feet in length and three inches in diameter. Items that are bagged or bundled are not to exceed 50 lbs. Concrete, bricks, blocks, mulch, dirt, and sod are not acceptable.

RIDGETOP COMMONS POLICY: The official policy document is available here. All household trash, recycling and other items placed curbside for collection shall be placed in the provided containers. Homeowners shall take the necessary precautions to prevent the contents of such containers from tipping and/or spilling. Any trash that does not fit within the homeowner’s trash container shall be placed curbside in an appropriate manner to avoid interfering with the public right of way, ingress/egress, easement, and other residential lots or common areas. Any trash placed curbside in this manner must also be properly secured to prevent its contents from being disturbed due to weather conditions and/or animals. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to remove trash and debris which has blown onto other homeowner’s property and/or common areas.
Trash cans and recycling bins shall be stored out of sight. Trash cans and recycling bins shall be removed from the front curb following trash pick-up and are never to be stored in front of the house or remain in public view on non-collection days.
